Regional Initiatives in higher Education in Africa

Welcome to the IES-Africa website. IES-Africa is a series of international workshops launched by 2IE and ACBF in order to discuss higher education, research and sustainable development in Africa.
The first Workshop will take place in Ouagadougou from March 21st to March 23rd, 2011 at the Laïco Hotel.
This workshop is organized in partnership with the World Bank, the African Development Bank, the Agence Française de Développement, the African Capacity Building Foundation, the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, and the African Union Commission.
The objective of this workshop is to gather donors, institutions, the private sector and other stakeholders to share their experiences on building excellence in higher education, science, technology, and innovation, and to work together to identify innovative ways to finance existing and future regional projects in Africa.
